my myanmar traditional food center

I would like introduce one of traditional Myanmar food restaurant in Yangon.

The restaurant is very large and decorated traditional style. The ceiling was made of bamboo. And tables and chairs were made of bamboo cane. It was so exotic and traditional atmosphere for me.

myanmar curries

Customer can choose the curries at the glass display. When I ordered some curries , they served steam rice ,soup and small dish curry free of charge. I ordered fish egg curry, fried chicken, vegetable curry.

fish egg curry

Before eating this, I think it must be salty. But it was not salty and fishy. It tasted light and wonderful.

burmese fried chicken

When they served the chicken, they separated meat and bone. I ate it very easily. The tasty was so nice. I think Burmese chicken is different from normal chicken. It was more deep flavor and tender although it had fleshless meat.

vegetable curry

This curry was made of roselle, bamboo shoot, onion and so on. It was so sour for me. And little spicy. Because of this curry, I ate a lot of rice.

dry beef curry

It was little chewy and very spicy for me. This was free of charge.

rice and soup

The rice and soup were free. If you want to eat more the rice, they provide it again. The soup was made from bean. It was clean and tasty.

conclusion

I am not good at traditional Myanmar foods. But it was great tasty. Some curries were too sour and spicy for me. But I enjoyed a lot. I drank milk too. It was the best tasty for me. The restaurant was clean and staffs were helpful. I paid total 12,900 kyat. But 2~3 people can eat together. Next time I want to try traditional snacks. I recommend this restaurant.
