WAI WAI’S Noodle Place is a famous Shan state food restaurant in Yangon,Myanmar. There are two branch in Yangon. One is in Sanchaung township and another is newly opened in Yangon downtown. I visited the newly opened downtown branch.
The restaurant has ground floor and first floor, with the dining table and chairs on the ground floor and the seating table on the first floor. It is well decorated with Myanmar’s traditional interior and the restaurant is very clean and the staff are very friendly.
On the first page of the menu, the owner of the restaurant introduces about the restaurant. Most of the menu are Shan state foods. Shan Noodles, Shan curries. salad.. you can choose variously in the menu. I ordered Shan sticky noodle and potato salad.
Shan Sticky Noodle was really delicious. Noodles were chewy and seasoned well. If you eat for a long time, the noodles harden well. In that case, mix the broth slightly and eat it again. I think they didn’t put MSG and it was natural taste. I really feel authentic Shan noodle.
Potato salad with onion and coriander was also good. It was not sharp-tasting but was able to feel pure taste. The steamed potatoes were really tender.
Pure authentic taste! WAI WAI Noodle Place has its own taste. I really liked their pure taste and the price was reasonable. The staffs were really friendly.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
